1. Types of Tracking Technologies
What are Cookies?
Cookies, also known as browser cookies and tracking cookies, are small
text files sent to your web browser by a website you visit. Cookies are
created when your browser loads a website with cookies, and those
cookies are then stored in your web browser. Cookies allow us, our
Customers, and our third-party partners to recognize you and to make the
Sites more useful to you. Cookies are not harmful to your computer. To
learn more about cookies in general, visit:
AllAboutCookies:
http://www.allaboutcookies.org/
What are Beacons / Tracking Pixels?
These are tiny transparent images with a unique identifier or scripts,
similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online
movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a
user's computer hard drive, beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages
or in emails. We may use beacons or pixels or to track user's behavior
across websites and devices and in our HTML-based emails to let us know
which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the
effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our
marketing campaigns. We may tie the information gathered by beacons and
pixels to Personal Information.
What are Web Tags?
Web Tags are a type of code (e.g. JavaScript code in a tag manager)
loaded into the web page to enable website features, like the web design
components, or to track user's behavior across websites and devices.
What are Browser Fingerprints?
Browser fingerprints are scripts that collect a set of features and
characteristics from a device (e.g. navigator language, window screen,
time zone, location, CPU vendor, memory size, or image processing) for
several purposes, like enhancing security or adapting the user's
experience on a website.
2. Cookie Categories
When you use and access the Sites, we and our third-party partners may
use cookies in your web browser or utilize other Trackers. Cookies and
Trackers may be used for marketing or analytical purposes, targeted
advertising, security, and to improve your experience while using the
Sites. The cookies we may use with the Sites fall
into the following categories:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are required to provide you with Sites
available through our websites and the Promotions Platform. Without the
strictly necessary cookies, we cannot provide some functionality
necessary to using the Sites as expected or in a secure way. For
example, an essential cookie is used to keep track of your
authentication to a website. We can also use these cookies to set up
essential functionalities to guarantee the efficiency of the service
requested, like load balancer requests.
You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but
some parts or all parts of a site will then not work. To learn how to
block or delete cookies, check out Section 5 "How to Disable or Update Cookies" below.
NOTE: These cookies do not store any personally
identifiable information.
Performance Cookies
Performance cookies help us to know which pages are the most and least
popular and see how visitors move around the site, they may be used to
measure website performance, troubleshooting, analytics, etc. These
cookies are not essential to the user of our platform. If you do not
allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and
will not be able to monitor its performance.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies help us to provide additional functionalities,
enhance features or performance, and personalize the Sites. These
cookies may be set by us or by third-party providers whose Sites we use.
If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all these Sites may not
function properly.
Targeting Cookies
Our advertising partners may set these cookies to provide behavioral
advertising and re-marketing analytical data. They collect any type of
